When I duplicate a sheet in Visio - I do NOT want to add Items!

Whenever I duplicate a sheet in Visio, it's because I need a duplicate blank sheet. It wastes a TON of time, especially larger projects (current one has 2,800 items), to have to slowly click decline for every single item. Even better if the default Duplicate Sheet automatically assumed no items to be added to the project.

To add a blank sheet, click the + icon at the bottom of the window. It should be to the right of your page names. Also, there is a setting within project settings, Drawings, for the paste behavior. Set this to Alternate. That makes inly copies of shapes instead of cloning or prompting.

Kevin Frye The need isn't for a blank sheet; it's for a clone of a specific sheet, for all the non-AV-device layout details. We have a lot of formatting, custom to sheet type, hence the need to duplicate a specific sheet. Duplicating a sheet shouldn't assume that we want to modify the entire project. What I need is a way to duplicate a sheet, not modify the project (AV equipment).

Caleb Dueck The good news is the answer is the same. Change the setting to Alternate as I suggested above. This will fix the problem. And you did say "I need a duplicate blank sheet" :-) Please let me know if you still need a hand.
