Granularized Catalog Edit Access

Need a way to be able to have permissions to edit/modify certain aspects of the catalog without permissions to edit other data. Example: employee needs ability to add accessories to items in the catalog but shouldn't have ability to change unit costs. Example 2: elevation shape is wrong on a rack drawing, right click to change shape, employee should have the ability to save this shape in the catalog. Generally speaking, looking for employees to be able to do certain things in the catalog without giving them carte blanche over the catalog

Seth, there are so many different requests for a revised permissions approach, please search "permissions" to realize the full scope of the request.

Seth, this would be extremely helpful if we could somehow allow our incredible design engineer to add accessories to items in the catalog while keeping the d-tools admin's responsibilities for clean data.

I second this - would solve a huge problem we have

Thanks Joe. I think this is important, especially with larger companies who may have several levels of control. One group is responsible for pricing but another may have control over engineering, needing to manage other product data. Seth, I think this would be a great addition to permissions.
