This is in desperate need. We have stopped using mobile install because of this. And gone to a free project planning app as it allows engineers to post pictures and comments of installs when they have no signal. And they dont have to login every time.

Yes, this would be needed for offline access. When you're in a new high-rise before the customer wifi is up, and you're 15 floors above the cell towers, you dont get reception either.

Just make the current one a 'PWA' or progressive web app. It appears like a real app to the user and it prompts to 'install' when they visit the web site. Win Win Win.

While I see the ease of this, the bureaucracy of the App stores would only make this a clumbsy process. I have tried to create apps before and the latency of posting updates and such seem like it would offset the convenience. I really like the cross-platform HTML.

Steve: And most of these "apps" are really wrappers for websites...
Shawn Lemay
Kevin Frye: Which is NOT what we want here. We need an offline version! Basements rarely have sufficient cell service! Plus - make sure this is in BOTH iOS and Android! Our customers may have iOS, but many (most) of our installers are Android.

Steve: They can develop the app and post the download on their website, which takes those App stores completely out of the process.
