ACCESSORY COMPONENT ID

Please provide accessory component ID customization that would allow an accessory to use an appended ID that is PARENT + ID. EX (LOC-SUBCAT-001-XXX) with XXX being the 'accessory roll. This could be accomplished by making component ID's for accessory products separate as a class.
Set component ID's for:
Product
Wire
Package
Accessory (Ideally)
Labor (Ideally)

I would argue that this request is not complete, as accessories are not a class on their own. something i really like to see. The current solution is creating enormously long id's for accessories by just stacking two component ids together. With an accesory class, one would be able to just add "-01" to the prefix (i AM really happy with v17 update btw)

Remko Meijer: I have to agree with Remko, the behavior of the accessory component ID should be different than if it were a parent item. As it stands, you can either setup your component ID to work well as an accessory (Nothing but incrementor, or Category - Incrementor) Or you set it up to be a parent item shaped component ID and have the accessory component ID jump to a 6 or 7 field number.
(I could be missing something, of course)

We added a prefix option for accessories in v14.

Added benefit of not burning an ID like spk-003 on an accessory.
